Johnny Depp - Considers Elvis Presley Biopic

Johnny Depp is seriously considering to play the King in an Elvis Presley biopic. The biopic would focus on the events that led to the King's death. 

“Johnny has always been fascinated by strong characters and inspirational people like Elvis,” a source explained. “He is excited by the idea of a movie focusing on the dark side of Elvis and his later years as a superstar and an icon. It's still early days but this is a project Johnny is very keen to get off the ground.”

Johnny Depp, who also plays guitar and has played in several bands, is planning to launch his own record label to help launch the careers of new talents. 

Don Johnson, Kurt Russell, Johnathan Rhys-Meyers, and Jack White have previously starred in other Elvis biopics. Johnny Depp seems to be a very good choice, he's a terrific actor, and has the musical background.
